Liquid Diet and Weight Loss

Liquid diet is taken to limit the intake of high calorie foods for losing weight. It includes juices of fruits and veggies that replace the three meals consumed in a day. Some liquid diets work better for a long time as compared to others.

The veggies and fruits that are used in it to make juices or smoothies are in a perfect combination so that the body gets all the essential nutrients needed for the normal functioning and maintenance of the hormonal balance. They include less calories and no fiber that is present in whole veggies and fruits.

Lemonade Diet

The lemonade diet is regarded as a master cleanse diet, a liquid based diet which is taken for a week. The formula includes mixing 50 ounces purified water, 10 teaspoons organic grade B maple syrup, 10 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice and a half teaspoon cayenne pepper are blended nicely till it gets smooth. The drink is enough for the whole day. It helps to reduce 2 to 7 pounds anywhere you want.

Fruits and veggies juice diet

This juice diet is useful for maintaining the proper balance of nutrition in the body. It is a good choice if you want to lose weight and increase your stamina. Take fruits of your choice and cut them into pieces. Then add spinach juice, carrot juice and tomato juice into it. Honey can be added for sweetening purposes. Use a blender to blend all this well and drink at regular intervals throughout the day. Don’t add artificial sweeteners because it prevents the body to get rid of harmful toxins.

Other options to replace the meals are as follows:

For Breakfast: Add a teaspoon of hot sauce and almond paste into a juice made up of few tomatoes. Almonds are rich in protein and are an antioxidant.
For Lunch: Make a juice of carrots sufficient enough to get a full glass. Drink it along with a cup of plain yogurt.
For Dinner: Blend fruits that are less acidic such as carrots, apples and bananas. It helps to keep the metabolism active while you sleep.
Grapefruit Diet: The grapefruit diet is taken to replace the meals in which you have to simply add green salads, wheat bread and a little whole grain into it.
Gelatin: Gelatin is a type of a liquid diet in which no fruits or veggies are added. You have to drink it following the directions printed on the label. Consult a doctor for proper instructions.

Concerns

A medical supervision is necessary before taking a liquid diet. Sometimes your body gets deprived of important nutrients as the liquid diet does not contain sufficient nutrition. It should be a complete combination of essential nutrients. It should be carried on for a short time up to 7 days depending upon one’s health requirements.

It should be taken at a regular gap to maintain the energy level as well as blood sugar levels. If it is not done properly then you can get negative side effects such as nausea, irregular heartbeats, fatigue, dizziness, digestion problems, unexpected fat loss and slow metabolic process.
