Books are said to be your best friend. This proverb is very much true in all aspect whether when you are in school or you are going through your profession education, books act as your second guide next to teachers. Same is truly applicable to the diet, exercise and weight loss. You may also prefer book to guide you for how to lose weight?

When we start to choose a book that may help you to gain your weight loss objective. You may prefer Diet books, as these books are said to offer effective guideline for weight loss.

1. Wheat Belly

‘Wheat Belly’ is one of the best-selling book and is written by William Davis. In this book he especially mentioned WHEAT as the main cause of health problems. It says this causes you to have expanding waistlines making you obese and making you look more than your actual age. It may also cause arthritis and hypertension.

For explaining the reason behind his claims he says that Gluten which a protein found in wheat and related grains can cause an autoimmune response in people with celiac disease. He further says in his book that if you eat wheat-free foods then this will help you to lose weight and will result in better overall health.

Some researchers say that William Davis claim about the WHEAT to be the reason behind the extra weight is not true. They say that there’s little evidence to support it. They claim that small group of people who have a pathological response to gluten may have this effect, but most people don’t have this type of effect from wheat.

If the book says that you may limit those choices which are high in gluten. Stop eating crackers cookies and cakes. This will surely help you.

2. The Paleo Solution

The ancient people or our ancestors had different kind of food or diet. They were eating wild meat, nuts, grass, vegetables and seeds. They were also eating by hunting. So what Robb Wolf, a former biochemist stated in his book ‘The Paleo Solution’ that if you follow what our ancestors were eating then we will also have the fitness and health like those people in the historic time.

Many argue with this concept. But Wolf says that this will work for all of us but the thing is that there are enormous differences between the meat what we are eating at present and what our ancestors ate at that period. He also suggests including food rich in protein in your daily diet plan.

3. Clean

This book is written by the physician Alejandro Junger, who also startes that a 21-day detox-‘The Clean Program’ will make you lose weight in just 21 days. He mentioned in his book to give up some food, for instance caffeine, alcohol, soy, sugar, raw fish, wheat, red meat and an assortment of other food. He also suggested that you start eating homemade food in breakfast and dinner instead of junk food and parties’ food.

Through poor dietary choices we make our body prone to diseases. Thus it claims to be an effective suggestion. But many are not ready to say this as an effective strategy but say it is a starvation strategy. They says that it making you to take not enough calories and thus making you to starve for losing weight in just 21 days.

4. The Fast Diet

The Fast Diet by British physician Michael Mosley highlights Fasting to lose weight. He suggest to fast or a semi fast for 2 days in a week, means that you can eat what you want in the left 5 days of a week. This strategy melts away extra pounds from your body but also protect against cardiovascular disease and cancer.

But some says that Fasting can be dangerous for people with health problem such as people having diabetes must not fast. The search on this suggestion is not yet being done on the large scale to prove its worthiness or to disprove it effectiveness.

5. The Mediterranean Prescription

The Mediterranean Prescription is written by physician Angelo Acquista which suggests you to have the Mediterranean diet. He focuses on the following proper diet not only to lose weight but for being healthy for your whole life. This book is not quite trendy on weight-loss but is on having proper diet. The book says that it focuses on the long-term lifestyle changes and not just for short time or just to lose weight.

If you get a proper guideline in your life you will never fail. These 5 books are guideline for your healthy life. These books are combined with the proper diet to follow to gain the proper weight loss.
