How Smoking Kills Your Sex Drive?

Doing away from your bad habits such as smoking can do your sex drive a lot of good. It is found that men who have problems with their libido are smokers or could have been heavy smokers for a long period of time. In fact, teenagers who smoke from the age 13 will have lower libido by the time they reach 30.

Smoking is also dangerous not just to your health, but also to your sperm. It reduces sperm count and motility as well as deforms the sperms. Reduced sperm count and motility can subsequently lead to infertility.

Erectile dysfunction is also linked to smoking. Since proper blood flow is required in order to produce lasting and rock hard erections, smoking can only block the blood vessels leading to poor blood flow, especially to the penile region. Non-smokers can sustain erections for a longer period of time leading men to more satisfying sexual experience.

Furthermore, smokers experience a drop in testosterone level compared to non-smokers, an important male hormone that increases sex drive.

Smoking is habit-forming and if you don't get rid of it, your sex drive is bound to suffer. Taking the necessary steps such as therapy and counseling will help not only your lungs, but also your sex life.
