Knee Pain Savior in Orthotics

Knee Pain Savior in Orthotics
There are just some kind of pain that cold compress nor surgery can solve. Sometimes, a simple shoe insert is what it takes to cure certain pain when walking and running. Orthotics, as they are called, are not really new technology, but since foot pains are often dismissed, orthotics find it hard to enter the picture as well. However, people who have tried this approach have found that feet imbalances pose certain risks for joint pains and these imbalances can be corrected by wearing the right shoe insert.

Podiatrist Ronald Hadam is convinced that solving foot problems through orthotics can make athletes and runner's life better. Not only does orthotics improve a person's balance, it also enhances endurance.

Hadam sees the legs as the body's tripod, and when one of the foot is longer or shorter, the other side of the body has to carry all the body weight. This leads to overuse of the joints of hips and back in one part of the body.

Podiatrists and other therapists believe that orthotics is a good preventive measure for joint pains. However, it does not cure all types of joint pains. So if you think you have problems with your feet, get a valid assessment from the experts and you might just as well save yourself from future joint pains.
